PROMPT: Setting as Mood
Her head was a mess, filled with the buzzing questions of "what ifs" and regrets. Her hands dug into the dark dirt as she looked around. Inky clouds were rolling in from the East, the wind and taste in the air bring a promise of storms. The trees swung their barren branches to and from, as if giving a warning. There was a sense of desperation as the wind grew faster, more demanding. It was dead silent expect...

I one time threw a rock into a river
and watched as the water began to ripple,
perfect circles in an unbroken chain
until it all faded away.
Now I hear you, your rallies and marches
your battle cries as thousands of people join forces.
I can feel the Earth vibrate as you chant for Justice and hear you saying
”Maybe I can’t change the world,
but I have to try”
and I hope for your sake and mine
that you...

The romantic taste of new beginnings
rest peacefully on my tounge,
and the sun shatters to
patient darkness.
And surrounded be the blanket
Of stars and open night skies
I confess my secrets
As I know the night while melt to
sky blue
and my confessions will burn
with fire of the sunrise.
They roll off my lips
like they were meant to fall;
destined to be whispered to the moon.
”forgive me,” is the plea
from my mouth,

PROMPT: Love in Words

Dear Best Friend,
You have always been there. You've watched with worried eyes as I flung myself into flames time and time again, and you held me as cried: never telling me how foolish I was. You are as reliable as the rising sun and your smile just as bright. You remind me that tomorrow will be better than today and promise to take me on trips to to see the other side of the moon....

Stories unwritten rest between each line
Dreams not told dance flawlessly
through the margins
Weaved together with potential
and patience
waiting for the pen to bleed

PROMPT: Your World in Three Senses
The grass tickles your feet as you pull your legs over the world rotting old. The sun is setting in the background painting the earth passionate shades of yellows and reds. The smell brings in the contarst to to the heat and warm colors in the air; it smells like rain and wet cement and something refeshing, and you know if you could stay in anyone one place for forever it would be here.
