Message from Writer

Write. Keep writing no matter what happens. Eventually, you'll find something that just clicks. You need to write until you reach the moment where you can look back and say, "I did what I loved and I made progress that I am proud about." So keep writing. Never give up.

My dream day

The sun shines brightly
as the wind blows softly
while the voice of my friend remains calming

She sings softly
just like the breeze rustles the grass
while the voices of people surround us

She smiles and so do I
we laugh and talk without a care for the world
These moments, the beautiful ones we cherish

To Blossom Through the Pain

If love keeps people alive
Why have so many died
Why is it that we only survive and not thrive
How come so many have only cried

How can one break the hardness?
What can one do to escape the darkness of death
How can they become open-heartedness
When all they can control is their breath

Who can live when inside
Everything is engulfed in flames
How can one continue to lie
But how can one be blamed?

What can they do so love can save them in their state
So that life becomes one of love and not of hate

Joy (a Tanka)

Joy is a feeling
The feeling of being safe
Like a soft sunrise
Birds singing beautifully
Like the soft grass tickling you

A limerick about death

Death is like a tale
Dying seems like you fail
Death is dark
You wish you could embark
It feels like a gale

idk what to call this

If standing tall was a choice
I would do it all the time

But for some reason
it remains a power
like a superpowers
like flowers in the weeds in the seasons
like trying to rhyme in a poem with speed
like an unheard voice

I stand in fear
with my head down low
with the spotlight on me
showing my fear and worries
as if they were diseases
that were set free
But I know they are thoughts that flow
Like your cheek that has a tear

Writing

Writing
To express your feeling
All those dark, and light thoughts
Every thought is written on paper
All those fights you fought
Just seemed to be capers
To all those around
You are just another
Another one like the other
No written tale special enough for praise
Nothing wonderful in the poems written by you
Just one thing, the fact that you did it
The fact that you wrote your thoughts
You made it your own
So smile with pride
and expressed who you are
with what you can
Writing

In my head

Lost in a world in my head
Trying to come out of my little world
Broken inside
With nothing left to hide

Dying inside
losing hope
Lost in a world with no door home
With no road to follow

All that I had is lost
all I need is gone
and all I want I don't deserve
I have nothing left

Broken, shattered
Like glass
Bits and pieces everywhere
With patterns and designs

Like every broken soul
There is a pattern
A story
A tale to what ruined their lives

Tiny Love

Love

Love keeps us alive
Making you feel like you can keep going
Letting you push through life

Love gives you strength
Giving you the power to live
Even if life can be a living hell

Love gives you happiness
Making you feel the happiest you have ever been
it seems as if you were flying or floating

Love heals
More than time ever could
Making you feel less pain

Love mends your soul
If it was shattered before
by something ferocious and much too hard to face

Love brings joy to life
If you once lived in a cave
You finally see light

One beam of light

The world is covered in darkness like a cloak
There are no holes for light for it is dark here
As someone tries to change the world they are knocked down like a pawn in chess
Because they are powerless
The only power is the darkness the lay here
It is a beast, so don't you dare wake it up
Because once it is awake we are all dead
In this world, there is no place of light
If we are lucky we will receive that one beam of light,
That is to change our lives forever

I am who I am

I am who I am
You can't change me
These wall I built were for me, not for you
I shine like the sun every morning whether you like it or not
Embrace me or Hate me
but I won’t change for you

I am who I am
I won't change
I intend to stay this way
My voice will boom and echo and
It will ring in your ear like a bell

I am who I am
I am bold, strong and powerful
I could change the world because
I am me, not you
Not her or him

I am who I am
And I’m not afraid to shine
I was born to be me not Alice, Maddy or Rhyme
Just me

I am who I am
You can’t change me
So watch me shine and take over the world with my light

Nature

Nature is something that cannot be understood,
It can only be perceived
It is a mystery,
But it cannot be solved by you or me
We can start in awe of its beauty but
We can never truly understand it
We can never be prepared
Nature can attack us at any moment
Like a cat waiting to pounce
At that moment we will understand that we truly know nothing

Life

Life is an emotional rollercoaster
You fail
You win
It never really works out
Many people’s world turns blue
While other’s turn yellow
Many give up
Too early
You never know
What the future holds
It’s still unknown
Don’t give up
Keep trying
Life never gets easier
You must get tougher
Keep trying
You will eventually
Make it to the end

Saturday Afternoon

After a good nap, I wake up to see the time has flown by quite quickly. It’s almost 5 in the evening. I take a good yawn and stretch a bit. Time to wake up Jake.
“Hey Jake,” I whisper softly.
“Hmm?”
“You’ve sleepy for 4 hours”
“Mhm, I’m sleepy,”
“I know love, we gotta get up though.”
“Love? What’s with the name,” he says as he sits up.
“You silly goose. Get up and wash your face.”
“Okay. We’ll talk about nicknames later.”
As he goes to wash his face, I set up Netflix and get A Whisker Away ready. I grab a packet of popcorn and toss it into the microwave. As the popcorn popped, Jake walks into the living room and sits down, making himself comfortable. I head over to the kitchen to grab the lukewarm bag of popcorn. I join Jake on the floor and start the movie. As we watch, tears stream down my face...

The Morning After

The sunlight hits my face, and I slowly rise from my sleeping position. I yawn and notice that Jake is still sleeping. I get up and head to the bathroom to wash my face. Then I walk to the kitchen to make some coffee for the both of us. Knowing the fact that yesterday was a rough night for the both of us, I leave him a little note and leave the coffee on the table to make up for last night. As soon as I finished, I sat back down and sip on my coffee and turned on my mini radio. While vibing to music, I notice some movement coming from the side. Jake must have woken up. As I get up, a stretch a bit and walk over to him to see how he is.
“Morning Nadia,” he says groggily.
“Hey Jake, how are you feeling? Did you sleep okay?”
“Hm? I’m feeling sleepy. I slept okay but...

What I miss the most

What I miss most
is the breeze rustling my hair
as if it were the leaves on a tree
What I miss most are the comforting words
that made you feel as if you were wrapped in a blanket
What I miss the most are the sunrises and sunsets that leave you in awe

What I miss the most
is the feeling of flying when I jump from the swings

almost making me a bird
What I miss are those hugs
that make you feel warm all over
What I miss are those stars that twinkle in the sky as if the light bulb was dying

What I miss the most
is the feeling of calmness when I go to sleep
making me feel as if everything will always be alright
I miss the feeling of wind coming at your face as if it was a group of people charging at you
What I miss is that feeling of being...

My belief

Every day seems to wear me out like the old pages of a book
I stand here as if I was to be isolated
Every day pushes me to the limit
I can't bear it any longer
I feel myself slipping away as if I was a paper flying in the wind
Time ticks by as I stand here with no clues no what to do,
I look like a helpless child
Problems start to arise like the sea levels
so small of a change yet it changes so much
the biggest impact comes later on
the ripple continues
It hurts but, we are all hopeless once we have given up
so we keep going
but it just never works out
rage starts to fill the air and
take over everybody like a disease that was a long time in coming
the past starts to haunt us
we start to fear the future and give up to early
that's just...

Time

The tree grew every spring
Just as we got older
We say the leaves in the autumn
We stood in awe at the sunrise above the tree
We watched the petals on the flower fall inch by inch
Time would just fly
Before the end of time, it would have seems like we were just ten
We watched the world change before our eyes
But we failed to notice before the end of time

What I miss the most

What I miss most
is the breeze rustling my hair
as if it were the leaves on a tree
What I miss most are the comforting words
that made you feel as if you were wrapped in a blanket
What I miss the most are the sunrises and sunsets that leave you in awe
What I miss the most
