Payaso

FREE WRITING

Ang damdaming pilit na ikinukubli
Nang payasong pilit na ngumingiti
Sa panahong kaligayaha'y pighati
Maabot lamang, pangarap na luwalhati.

Kahihiyan niya'y ligaya ng lahat
'Pagkat minsa'y ngiti niya'y 'di sapat
Sa madlang 'di nararapat
Sa ngiti niyang labis na tapat.

Oh! payasong tahimik na tumatangis
Sa likod ng maskarang nakabungisngis
Tahimik na lumalaban sa mundong mabangis
Habang panaghoy'y walang kawangis.

Kamusta ka?
Nanlilimos ka pa rin ba ng simpatiya?
Pasensya kana, ang demokrasya ay walang mukha
Habang masa'y niyayakap, mapanlinlang...

Goodbye

FREE WRITING

A wish I want to fulfill
A dream I'm longing to see
Your memories that I want to conceal
To whisper it in the sea
And forget it was once real
Because you are no longer here.

A fall that I never expect
A goodbye that I want to respect
You're the love that once becomes my concept
Become twisted and defect
Edify me to stand and reflect
You're my nostalgia that I can't neglect.

A peal of laughter I...

Dear Anxiety

FREE WRITING

Please leave me alone. I can't focus when you are around. You are scaring me. You are making me overthink. Can't you see?  I have responsibilities to attend, expectation to fulfill, goal to achieve and promises to keep. Please, go away. You are turning my dreams to nightmares. Please, go away. You are the last thing I need right now.

Yours truly.
Dreamer.

Why?

FREE WRITING

She was labeled a terrorist because of her religion
Ridiculed because she dresses her culture kindly
Discriminate because of her color
Oppress because of her beliefs
She is tired.

Why?
Why does she have to suffer the sin of other people?
Why?
Because she dresses like them?
Have they forgotten that she is she, and she is not them?

We are all sinners, not a saint.
Underneath our skin, we are all the same.
We are all dealing with different...

Mom

I was once a blood,
So pure and fragile.
And then transform as flesh,
So gentle and precious.
I can still recall how I felt so alive,
Inside your womb, so warm.
Warm, that's what you told me,

I am a tale with so much aesthetically pleasing content and context,
But you lied.
I am unwanted
Born from sin and lust
I am no tale nor narrative to tell
I am the fruit of your sin.

Regardless, this sin nurture  ...
