A Message to Writers Block

Hello, hello,
how are you?
All writers know,
and hate you.

We all understand a hiatus,
but we all know,
Writers block,
hates us.

Bombs

It starts with a bang,
a flash,
a crash,
of light.

It starts with a burst,
one of the first,
and then,
its all gone.

Buildings,
leveled,
citys,
rumbled.

All that hard work gone.

Burning,
fire,
craters,
bombs.

People you loved gone.

The bomb goes off,
the person goes too,
and you just think,
why not me too?

Without mercy,
without thought,
they just hit a target,
even if you fought for it.

Vivid burst of light,
but not of life,
of the worst kind of death.

Tactical Air Assault (Bee Story)

So every year i went to summer camp. At said summer camp we always ate lunch under a big canvas cover. Now one issue with eating under a tent without walls was wasps. droves of them would come to get a taste of our Lunchables or PB and J sandwiches. So one day a friend of mine decided to try to capture and torture on in his lunchbox. In hindsight this wasn't the smartest idea. Now the wasp (being the sly little crap it was) avoided the lunchbox and stung my friend on his eyelid. Being a third grader he screamed and cried for the counseler who came over and took him to the main office. When he came back he was screaming but his eye was pretty swollen. He wanted vengence, so this time he tried to capture a wasp in a Gatorade bottle. This was smarter and he suceeded, which prompted me to through the bottle in the...

The Fevers come to me,
late at night,
at the time,
I cannot fight.

I feel there screams,
there horrors,
there Dreams,
And betwixt it all I feel life.

A Forest on Trial

Great forest, set away,
growing and thriving,
striving to spread,
time passed as all things do
the forest grew and grew

A circle was broken,
the forest shrank,
something kept taking,
taking away,
there was no mercy,
there was no kindness
just violence.

Swinging, chopping,
stripping breaking,
fire burning, taking,
a forest on trial,
with no lawyer.

More destruction,
burning rage,
the trial was almost closed.
Could life leave?
Could man do it?
That one fell swing,
after years upon years,
would be the last?

Aren't we more than this?

We all categorize, synthesize,
adapt, organize, one above,
one below, one better,
one worse. Aren't we
better than that?

Tall, thin,
Short, fat,
Small, large,
black, white.

We strive for equality,
but we still file,
categorize.
How are we better?
How are we worse?

Tall, thin,
Short, fat,
Small, large,
black, white.

We draw borders,
invisible lines,
We separate,
we synthesize.

Tall, thin,
Short, fat,
Small, large,
black, white.

Are we all just that?
We draw the world in black,

Poetry and Spoken Word Competition: 2021

Sameness or Fakeness

We live in a world,
of facts and truth,
and all adults must
tell the youth,

You are young,
and unwise,
you will
learn in time,

the way your parents did.

Logic will guide you,
logic is true,
logic is a compass,
guiding you through,

the troubles of life.

But kids are creative,
as we should be.
Kids don't need compasses
for they are free,

of the troubles.

Logic makes us similar,
logic is comforting,
logic makes it all,
sameness.

But creative is powerful,
creative is strange,
creative is different,
creative is the key,

To free us from our cage of Sameness, our cage of Fakeness.

The Shores of Gold

There was coast old,
that many called victory's hold,
it had quite a simple name,
The Shores of Gold...

Sandy beaches of doubloons,
shined and shimmered,
that oh so beautiful glimmer.
on to the Shores of Gold...

Far out of many pirates reaches,
those oh so shiny beaches,
far beyond the panic and strife,
of the Sea of Thieves.

Many sailed through gunpowder smoke,
on through the krakens choke,
on through the teeth and snare,
on to the Shores of Gold...

And many were stopped,
right at the door.
Many were turned around
with nothing more.

Those many gave in
to the krakens embrace.
They never reached,
those golden shores.

Until two pirates,
young and fair,
said their prayers,
and sailed to that
treacherous shore.

Onward!, they said,
Onward!, they went,
On to the glimmering
beaches!

Those two pirates,
left there cage.
They sailed,
to victory's hold,

On to the Shores of Gold...

There were once two pirates fair,
not quite the luckiest pair,
stuck in a prison they were,

But they knew unlike most,
there was a faraway coast,

Cannon to the right of them!
Cannon to the left of them!
Cannon in front of them,
volleyed and thundered.

On they sailed through sea and squall
hoping to reach victory's call,
on to the shores of gold!

They sailed through powder smoke,
on through the krakens choke,
on through teeth and snare,
hanging on to a single prayer.

without anything dear,

better then then others,

trying to reach victory's hold,

Names for Nature

Barriers Falling

Teeming with life,
teeming with strife,
struggle, issues, hunger,
yet life.

The strong eat the weak,
The weak try hide,
they do things to fill their days,
But something is looming,
Something new.

New is dangerous.
New is strange,
new destroys their home.
That unnatural thing takes, and takes,
Takes their homes and takes their city.

There is no giving back,
there is only taking,
Life leaves after years and years,
the city turns gray.

Their home is leaving, fading away,
the urchins keep taking,
life may not find a way...

Great forest, set away,

striving to spread,
time passed as all things do

A circle was broken,

something kept taking,

Swinging, chopping,
stripping breaking,
fire burning, taking,
a forest on trial,

More destruction,
burning rage,

Could life leave?
Could man do it?
That one fell swing,

would be the last?

The sun is shining, its a beautiful day
Somehow the clouds have been chased away
But then the storm comes back
and covers our minds
We sit in homes hoping it will pass

We sit and we wait
for the storm to pass
but our leaders refuse to concentrate
To do their jobs, to break the storm
as we sit in our homes...

To break the storm we must adapt
we must change our ways
we must stay together
we must go outside and brave the storm
we need to remember
The blue sky will always sit beyond the clouds

We sit in our homes
we watch life pass us by
i don't know why we do it
but we do.

So break the storm, shine a light
make a friend, fix our lives
So we can again enjoy the bright blue

On a place far away their lived a people known as trellors, a far away place where humans once disturbed their great ancestors called by them "Trees". The self-proclaimed master race harassed the trees cutting them down and turning them into furniture or homes. The trees were outraged, but being unable to speak or walk could not reach diplomatic nor military solution. So a great and powerful tree wallowing in sorrow and anger raised its seeds to the wind and from them were born trellors.
