Sixty Degrees in July

PROMPT: Your World in Three Senses

Everything is dust. The sky is a giant ball of the kind that collects under your bed after you don’t vacuum for 3 weekss and so the butterflies can fly.

It doesn't rain until 6.

If it’s going to be this cloudy and 60 degrees in July then just make it downpour at least so that the lightning can strike every tree behind my house to create a firestorm and so I can run outside and catch 10,000 colds by rolling in every puddle in...

Gay Marriage and The Sin that is Love

PROMPT: Objection!

No, I do not understand why love and feelings aren't valid?

Stay out of people's bedrooms! How could you advocate with so much passion and hatred against people who really won't impact your life an wellbeing, unless it's for the better.

Astrid

PROMPT: Beyond Reason

Who is she over there, sitting bare across the temple floor?
And where will I rest once I have succumbed to the first of the fruit I was forced to bear?
Will I sit across the embers that once roared with such promiscuous conversation?
And why the darkness always steal the shadows once I am back from the confessions I have made to nothing
but weeping creeks and whistling autumn leaves?

I told her to run, I told her to scream as loud as she could, but all the smoke from the flames choked her before she could expel a single sound.

"You're right."
