Canada

Hi! I’m a 14 year old girl that loves to read, write, and do anything with words. I live in Canada and play hockey, softball and I dance. I’m an introvert and am almost always found with my nose in a book. (Mostly fantasy) I also love chocolat! :)

Message from Writer

I am not a very experienced writer but I love all the millions of possibilities that you can accomplish with just a few letters. I really want my writing to affect people and make them see things in a new light. I would really appreciate any feedback or suggestions to help improve my writing!

26 Letters

PROMPT: Extraordinary in the Ordinary

We see letters every day,
We read them, and savour them, and listen to them play,
It seems like there are endless letters in the world,
But there are only twenty-six,
Only twenty-six figures, made up of lines,
That transport our minds,
Everything you’ve ever read, or written this language,
Is just a different combination of twenty-six strokes that can make such damage,
So, next time you sit down to write, think about how these letters create such a light.

Words

FREE WRITING

The words just won’t come out,
They’re like pieces of glass stuck in my throat,
They scratch and scream,
They beg and plead,
But my thoughts refuse to bleed,
My mind won’t let the words leave my head.

I have a storm in my brain,
One of words and rain,
My thoughts are like the wind whirling and twirling,
Pounding and screeching and curling around,
Making me want to scream and shout.

Monsters fill my mind,
Not letting me cry, ...

The Standards that Society Puts on a Women's Looks

FREE WRITING

“We [need to] stop treating each other like that, stop calling each other fat and stop with these unrealistic expectations for women. It’s disappointing that the media keeps it alive and fuels that fire.” These words, spoken by the award-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence are exceptional. There are standards put on everyone but many are specifically placed on the genders. Men and women are constantly being told to be a certain way; however, the standards placed on women seem to be...
