Message from Writer

First and foremost: You are loved, you matter, and you are beautiful. I see you and I love you and you aren't alone. Don't ever think you aren't worth it... because you are always worth it! Again, you ARE loved, by me if no one else! (I know another writer on here says this but not sure who, otherwise I'd give them credit. But it's true for me/from me too!)

Oh, and btw, YOU GOT THIS!

I'm happy to review your piece! I love good feedback, too.

My Brain: Let's go with I'm grateful for you all.

Me: That's way too cliché!

My Brain: Any better ideas?

Me: We could tell them how they make us so happy and feel so blessed. And how we've all shared so much laughter and so many good times. And--

My Brain: In poetry? That doesn't rhyme!

Me: Well it's not about rhyming, it's about expressing our gratefulness for each other and why we are grateful! Like, for example, I'm grateful...

So it's not a paragraph,
nor a thousand words.

But I still truly hope
that I am heard.

I am grateful
is hardly enough.

Man, expressing thoughts
is so very tough.

I couldn't possibly list
every time you made me smile.

Though it would certainly
be worth my while.

It is always a joy,
visiting Gramma and you.

It makes me smile
when I am feeling blue.

These good times
will not fade when I grow old.

Happy childhood memories... ...

A Poem for My Family

I didn't have words
to express how grateful I am for you.

But I sure must've found 'em,
'cause without further a do:

You make me laugh,
and you make me smile!

I could sit, listening to your stories
for quite a while.

You make me happy
when I am sad.

You eliminate my tears
and make me glad!

We are there for each other
when we need to talk.

We smile, frown, listen,
and undo the lock.

Thank you...
