Embracing Brown

FREE WRITING

I fell into the brown sparkles/the brown waves closed my eyes/they took me under and down/down into the kind warmth/I fell in love with the depth of brown/the color of coffee that was glass/the way they flashed/engulfed me whole/and I loved them/and love them still/the kind brown that warms my soul/the brown that smiles on their own/and I cannot climb out/I do not want to/I am enclosed with an embrace/an embrace that I feel still/and always/the embrace of brown

Thoughts In Ink

PROMPT: YOU, The Writer

Sit at the desk.

Take up the pen.

Open the journal.

And put your thoughts in.

It's best I have found.

If one writes to themselves.

Gliding ink the only sound.

Worries are hid.

Just thoughts spilling onto the page.

Forever and anon.

To the end of the age.

I Could Not See

FREE WRITING

The days when I could not see,
What was right in front of me.
Were the days when I,
Was miserable, Because I believed a lie.

I thought that I wanted to fit,
I could not set my teeth and grit,
As all the people now laugh at me,
I'm glad I now am free.

I like to walk apart, head held high,
And smile because, I'm not a lie,
I am myself, and proud to be,
I hope you...
