Deep in the meadow
I can finally breathe 

Under the willow
We can sit in peace

A bed of grass
To muffle our steps

A soft, green pillow
Comfort in the silence 

Lay down your head
Pick up your bow 

And close your sleepy eyes
Watching, waiting, listening 

And when again they open
Move downwind

The sun will rise
Weave snares with careful fingers

Here it’s safe 
We can say what we want

Here it’s warm
We can be ourselves
