"You say you wanna die,
But live it much harder.

You say you wanna let go,
But put on another weight

Thinking of not thinking at all,
Is still a thinking, you know?"

PROMPT: Poetry and Spoken Word Competition: 2021

Why does the world have so many crossroads?
Every step I take, leaves us separated.

Covered by the same orange fur
as yesterday, I still wait for you.
Blended within the snow;
looking for your footsteps,

The distance always grows

FREE WRITING

The hollowness, it creeps up;
Closeness with another
but visibly empty within.

Our hands together;
Flames dancing,

Warm hands

Our lips part from each other;
A gentle and soothing motion.
We look into each other's eyes,
heartbeats in sync
but your eyes tell of sorrow.

The emptiness in our words,
the temptingness of your voice
widens the ever-present gap.

Looking for a reason
that won't ever exist,
we stare into the oblivion.
