I assume Mother Nature will age me along with everyone else. 
I assume that I too shall fall prey to her 
titular cycle, 
to the ritual that permeates 
the soft moisture of each
 lingering breath.

thumbs.
The weight of birdsong, 
the wax of the palms, 
the ringed fingers of the 
gloating mother,
