Lands of my Dreams

FREE WRITING

Bubbles are surrounding us
Each containing a split second of oblivion-
An escape from everything else
Forgiving is too easy
If everything is fake
Forgetting is harder
when we wake.
Instead we want to make
it last longer
Dreaming of the
unattainable things
It's just wishful thinking
if we don't do anything
Impossible to make it possible
So we choose to escape
That's what's easier
To imagine new better lands.

Ideas ripped into
dust-
Then built up again
The process repeats its self again
Until one breaks the cycle
But until then-
it's just a blank Canvas.

"Mommy, why do you have to make us?! It's not fair." The oldest complains.

World of Too Little

There is just something about the way she moved,
It wasn't a swagger,
Or a swing of her hips,
It wasn't her simple curve of her smile,
Or the twinkling dance in her eyes,
It wasn't her looks,
She was more striking than
Beautiful.
I think it was her easy confidence that
She knew she was right-

She would just disarm you
with a quirk of her eyebrows,
Causing you to stumble over your words
and question everything-

She listened, ...
