Canada

I'm into mythical creatures and such; dragons and mermaids and werewolves. It's my hideaway; my safe haven for when I don't want to face the dull and boring, black-and-white world of "reality". And when I write, I'm adding colour to my little world.

Message from Writer

Each word, fragment, sentence, and paragraph is one of the many puzzle pieces of your own world. A world where "reality" doesn't exist and anything can happen. Your kingdom or queendom shouldn't be altered by someone else's thoughts or opinions. Otherwise, that place isn't yours truly.

Disappear

FREE WRITING

I used to be alive.
I felt my voice as I talked,
I felt the elements against my skin,
I could see the border clearly.

But then I reached a point
Unknown to me when
I fell asleep
And when I woke up
I was gone.

My voice became distant
An echo from a mouth not mine.
The elements caressed skin
Of a body that was not mine.

Ever since,
I walk in a daze.
It is worse than death. ...

Tired of Therapy

FREE WRITING

Your babble
Has cleaned out my eardrums
Dry.
The canal through which I listen
Has become damaged
Of your words.
Too much–
It's an overload.
System Malfunction.
Stop pouring into me your talk
Or I will shut down.
But I bet you won't notice
Ever,
Even when you'll be talking to a corpse.

Bandages

FREE WRITING

I'm leaking again.
Oh well,
another bandage will do.
I love that nobody listens
or notices,
As if they'd even care.

I write "don't bother" on my door
Yet they come in,
And not to ask what's wrong
But to ask for me to give instead
My attention
My sympathy
Or a favour.
Can't you see that I have none?

You look for a smile on my bandaged body
So that you don't have to look
At the leaks.

I...

The Giving Extremity

FREE WRITING

Give
No Expectations.
Give
But don't aim to receive.

The goodness in giving–
It is selfless
And blossoms the heart.

What do you give when you have nothing.
You begin to give yourself.
Time.
Attention.
Priority.
Dedication.
Sacrifice.
Life.
Until you wither of the giving extremity.

Raised to Deny

FREE WRITING

There was no room for imperfection
Only Normal.
I am allowed happiness,
sadness,
fear,
and worry.
But I must play dumb to depression
to terror and panic
to anxiety.

My chest is too tight
But it keeps filling.

My mouth is shut;
I cannot speak–

I was raised to be better than this
I was moulded to perfection
No matter what I was made of.

I was raised to deny
That I have issues.
I was raised to accept
That I...

Please Don't Leave Me

FREE WRITING

Don't abandon me like this,
I cannot tolerate it.
My structure crumbles
And all that is perfect goes to dust.
You left
A void
That I cannot fathom.
    I cannot breathe.

It is unfillable.
No drink
No meal
Could replace how I feel;
Could replicate the disaster
You've caused me to be.

With you I re-balance
Re-understand
Re-realize
Regain sanity and stability.
Please don't leave me,
I cannot bear to be imperfect.

Ugly

FREE WRITING

Everything I want doesn't want me.
Everyone I want doesn't want me.
What I want doesn't like me,
Therefore, nothing wants me.

Some things I don't want
want me.
Some people I don't want
want me.
What I don't want likes me,
Therefore, I'm ugly.

Three Forms of Abuse

FREE WRITING

Disliked
As if gristle
Lodged in pork,
Surrounded by pig yet still being
Leftover,
    Unwanted.

Traumatized
Stands a swollen tree,
A work of nature's art,
Crafted by a bolt
Driven and embedded
    Deeper
        Further
Wounding the sapling's wooden heart
To create a strong beauty
From juvenile sorrows.

Exploited
Like any kitchen table,
The back of every household,
Used repeatedly
Every expanse of it
Piled with plates,
Taken as granted,
Forsaken once unneeded...

Dandelion

FREE WRITING

They argue
What is this.
Sunny flower?
Milky weed?
I tell you it is neither
But a beautiful dandelion
That will grow
In spite of all
Harshness and cruelty
She faces,
That will blossom
And shine her golden soul
That the world will marvel at.

They will argue,
They will fight,
Don't mind them
Dearest Dandelion,
Grow,
Shine,
Find your own way.
For in a meadow of
Tall, short, wide and thin,
Pink, orange, purple and blue,
You'll forever be ...
