The climb

FREE WRITING

Sirens blaring, my heart is racing. Blood is everywhere, it drips from my hands and stains my clothes. I can't focus. I am losing consciousness. I try to stand up but I can't. Terror overtakes me. swallowing the light

I fear for those who cannot love
who have lost and cannot heal
who drown in pain
and sorrow

I fear of small cramped spaces
with no exits or escapes
little air
cemented forever

I fear of death awaiting me
the tight clutch I cannot escape
i cannot outrun

i fear...

The Death of Planet Earth

FREE WRITING

the earth is dying.
The days are hotter than ever before. The nights are too long and too cold. I fear if the weather keeps this up, we will all be long gone.
It’s their fault though, not ours. The tall creatures that claim they are good, the ones that say that everything is fine, the ones that are really are destroying the land as we know it. We have always respected the land, eaten only what we needed. They...
