Eternally stuck in this bout between confronting logically and diffusing sarcastically... Other than that, as the name suggests, I am obsessed with music (always seen with headphones), the colour black, art, sports, reading and writing.

Never look away

He took a step back, his beating heart hammering against the inside of his sweaty chest.
'Stay away from the spiders,' his mother's words echoing in the back of his head.
He hadn't seen one yet but he knew they were there, tracking his every move with their beady eyes--sharpening their spindles for the perfect moment.
With a shudder he thrust his arm out, expecting it to come in contact with the warmth of her skin which was actually drenched...

Rewinding the Reel

PROMPT: Food Writing Competition 2020

A slight tremble ran through me and my pupils dilated as the revelation hit me like a hippo on 'Redbull' (pun intended); but before I divulge into the crux of the piece, I ought to throw a little light on the journey which brought me to cusp of this 'divine' eye-opener.

Dear WhoeverReadsThis

I believe that today my perception regarding the following question has changed, as what once seemed like an unnecessary formality is emerging to be the most pressing query in current times; how are you? I start my letter with this thought because I firmly believe that in this day and age your answer to this question just cannot end in one word. I am writing to give you a glimpse into my very convoluted brain as it searches...
