Hello, all! *waves* I'm the oldest in a big, rambunctious, homeschooling family. I'm also a full-time nerd, which means the Shire is my home, Foxfire is my school, and my best friends are Lucy Pevensie and Anne Shirley. Thanks for stopping by!

Message from Writer

The most important thing to know about me is that I am a Christian. My faith is very important to me, which means that my #1 goal on this website is to glorify God through my writing. While that doesn't mean that all my writing will address my faith, it does mean I will always try to reflect God's glory with my words by writing in a respectful, cheerful, and thoughtful way. Thank you for welcoming me into this incredible and talented community!

"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men" (Colossians 3:23)

"The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love." (Psalm 145:8)

"Words are our most inexhaustible source of magic." (J. K. Rowling)

PROMPT: Letter Writing Competition 2020

Hey, kids of 2060,
How's life? Right now for me, life could be summed up by one word: *scream*
I'm not exaggerating when I say that this year had been going down in a way no one on the planet was anticipating...But you know that already, don't you? After all, you probably grew up listening to your grandparents expound their experiences during the TP crisis; maybe you even spent some week in middle school writing little paragraphs or performing a...

Sacrifices of Yesteryear

PROMPT: Ancestors Speak

This has been a year full of sacrifices. For the sake of safety, for the public health, we've sacrificed graduations, concerts, family reunions, birthday parties, schedules, plans...our way of life. And as we scurry around our "essential businesses",  we even sacrifice our personal comfort as we hide behind stuffy face masks and slather our hands in the increasingly precious but forever slimy hand sanitizer. But obviously we are not the first generation forced to sacrifice our expectations for the greater...

Dancing on Our Own

PROMPT: Collective Voice

We were a hurricane. Flying through life; full of energy and vitality and power. Tearing up the ground before us, never looking back. We were an explosion. Shooting out infectious joy and laughter and love of life. Flashing into the lives of others and changing their worlds forever. We were a breeze on a summer's day. Always dancing, always exploring. A refreshing burst of restlessness in a world that was too drowsy, too peaceful. We were marching to the beat...
