They/Them
Casually contemplating the meaning of life
Constantly suprised by reality

Message from Writer

I like writing poetry, short stories, and the occasionaly nonfiction piece.

Here you'll find all sorts of poetry, short stories, mini series about my boys, and some D&D (dungeons and dragons) tales. Hope you enjoy!

Basically Fiere's backstory shoved in a poem

FREE WRITING

There was a man once known to shame
with a heart so full of pain
his world would never be the same

For every heart he rose
and dropped without care
would flow into his mind
and they'd get stuck there

He told himself he did what he needed to survive
but he took more than he needed
because he wanted to thrive

Stuck in poverty led to stealing gold
he was stuck looking young
and feeling old

One day...

Emerging from the shadows (part 32)

FREE WRITING

Fiere headed back outside. He looked up at the dark sky. Moonless, but full of stars. Now would come the worst challenge of all: keeping track of time. Nearly impossible in this place, but crucial.

The night could stretch on forever, and he couldn't afford that.

Fabrice grinned at him, "Glad to see you back."

Fiere nodded silently before joining the fray.

Raven sat on top of the bed and looked about the room. Portraits hung on the walls, lifeless...

Emerging from the shadows (part 31)

FREE WRITING

Fiere and Raven carried on consistently for a period of three days. Walking and stopping, and walking again. The forest thinned out, and grew thicker. They had passed clearings and springs.

"Where exactly are we going?" Raven finally asked.

"Hm? No where in particular. I have a general idea of what surrounds us, a bit far out. But we're largely avoiding any place I should think people are."

"Oh, okay," Raven responded. "Hey Fiere?"

"Yes?"

"What if they had a...

A thank you, for it all

FREE WRITING

I swear I have a heart attack every time you compliment me.

I'm doing okay I guess, at this writing thing. Trying my /almost/ best. I could always be doing better, if I was willing to take the time. I have all of the time and none of it at all.

Support and kind words. I'm doing this more for myself than anyone else, but I'd by lying if I said I wasn't happy that people like what I dish...

That clever beast

FREE WRITING

I have always found it fun
To be perceived as one of the dangerous ones

Sharp smiles
Extending claws

Complain too much
And I'll tear away your flaws

I'll bite your arm and shed your skin
Expose you for who you've always been

You wonder and stare
As you see me there

A threat for sure
But you can't hide from the lure

That sense of mystery as you wonder why
You see I'm angry even when I cry

I should go to sleep

FREE WRITING

Everything's falling apart, like the tears falling from my eyes.

I stare at the crumbled pieces. I don't have the energy to piece them together right now. I can't even piece together my own thoughts. It'll get done another day.

There's so much I want to do, and I don't want to do any of it. I don't want to sleep, but I don't want to be awake.

I need sleep. I should sleep. Maybe I will.

I hate sleeping,...

Heroes, Villains, and What's in Between

FREE WRITING

A bero's love is pure and strong.
A villain's love is often wrong.

A hero has honor, a duty to carry though.
A villain will chase their revenge until they're through.

So often we've heard that heroes are good and villains are bad. Plenty of times we've heard they were mad.

In all of the stories read to us as children, it seemed the heroes would always win.

Good would triumph over bad. Heroes would win, they were all glad.

Wasting away as the monster I've unknowingly become

FREE WRITING

You mean so much to me
I need you

I hold you lovingly
And yet you seem to

Pull farther away every time I step near
So tell me
My dear

If you do not love me
Then why are you still here?

If you don't want me then tell me
Why you still let me near?

Break my heart
And throw it away
Just don't let
Me waste another day

Wasting away...

Wasting my time
Shattering my heart
As...

Cats are not the worst things that mice have to fear

FREE WRITING

A cat plays with a mouse. They will chase and pounce, and dangle them from their paws. They may even let them go, only to catch them again.

A cat is likely to kill a mouse in one bite. They game may be long, but the kill is swift.

It is very likely that you don't expect a mouse to eat another mouse.

But mice turn on each other in no time at all. For as much as they may...

Could you be mine again?

FREE WRITING

Break of dawn

I can see the sun shining

Oh how long
Since I've seen it shine on you
And your pretty little face my dear
How do you do?

We haven't spoke in forever
And it's such a shame
My dear

Sometimes
I almost wonder

If I should call you mine again?
Could we have that love again?

You were my friend
You were my love

But now it seems we've drifted
You're so far away
And I'm so...
