Elissa Tham

Brazil

Hey there! I am a half Singaporean and half Brazilian full-time-nerd. I'm homeschooled, a bookworm and I love to use words and art to express myself. I mainly express my feelings by writing, singing, dancing and photographing.

Message from Writer

Feel free to give any suggestions and tips. I want to grow in writing so I am open to receive any constructive criticism and as many tips as possible.

My grammar isn't perfect, I am still working on it and trying to expand my vocabulary.
I am also trying to learn different areas in writing and leave my comfort zone.

rain

FREE WRITING

Rain pourng today
And under my blankets I lay
I wonder if it's sad
Or a hidden beauty it had
I wonder, I wonder
What's inside a thunder
A sad raging man
Or a someone heartbroken
Maybe a girl cries those magical tears
Or maybe they are melted fears

This is my first poem, I've never writtn any, hope it's good

a short reflection i got while being fustrated

FREE WRITING

Criative processes are hard. Sometimes I want to write a story, but it doesn`t flow. Sometimes I just want to sit down and write, but I get fustrated when it isn`t perfect. And it`s OK. I think we push ourselves too much. I am typing this on my phone because I turned off my computer after stressing out for not being able to write my short story. Maybe today wasn`t right for it, maybe I am not OK now, maybe...

The Storm From Inside

PROMPT: People as Nature

I am intense and loud like a storm -- or maybe, a stormy day. Sometimes I'm furious and enraged like a thunder and other times, gloomy like the clouds darkening the sky. When feelings accumulate I just let them all out like those droplets falling from the grey, heavy clouds. Most people don't fully understand me. I don't blame them because I don't either! I've got so many different thoughts and ideas runnning in my head as fast as a...

Grace

PROMPT: Mad Libs

Grace is a 16-year-old girl, who lives in New York. Known for being cheerful and ambitious, she wants nothing more than to become a great ballerina. She pretends to be contented, when in fact, inside, she really feels empty. Grace’s biggest fear is failure. What Grace needs is someone who truly cares for her; the biggest thing getting in the way is that she is oblivious to the fact that love is right in front of her.
