    I placed my heels together and turned my feet out into first position. I was sixteen, and I hadn't taken a ballet class in over three years. I bent my knees to plie but my bones ached and my muscles felt sore. I hadn't even started, yet I already felt tired. I sighed and plopped to the ground, wishing I had tried harder to achieve my dance goals.

    I felt like a failure.
