"Iv'e always liked quiet people:
You never know if
They're dancing in a
Daydream or if they're
Carrying the weight
Of the world."

What I want to do with this life

FREE WRITING

People ask me all the time
"What do you want to do with this life?"

I always say that I don't know yet,
but the truth is...

I want a Grandfather study.
A study with a big mahogany desk
with a big comfy chair.
And the walls to be lined with books.

I want a cabin deep in the woods.
Surrounded by huge trees and
my own garden.

I want a studio apartment.
I want it in New York at...

Who am I, Compared to her?

FREE WRITING

Who am I, compared to her?

She is a angel.
Everyone worships her.
They kiss the ground she walks on.
She soars above the clouds on wings,
Cutting through the wind.

Compared to her,
I am evil.
The devil even,
Compared to her.

Compared to her,
I am dirt.
Something you walk all over,
Something you wash off when it gets on you,
Compared to her.

Compared too her,
I am a pillar.
Un-noticed but holding the weight of...

Silence

FREE WRITING

What is it?

It's always there.

It sits in my room late at night.
It climbs up the walls and under my pillow.
It contorts itself into things.
Nightmares,
Dreams.
It does what it pleases.

It's strange because,
Sometimes it's nice to have it,
Comforting.
But other times it's not,
I just want to scream.

Silence makes you want to do that sometimes.
Scream until your lungs burn,
Scream anything and everything.
Scream away your joy, your hate,
Your loneliness.

Laughter

Laughter.

Her laugh.

Just her's.

It's beautiful.

There's none like it.

"You're beautiful."

"How so?"

"Your Laugh."

"I don't laugh."

"Oh, yes you do."

She's A China Doll

FREE WRITING

She's a China Doll.

She's beautiful.

She's fragile.

Yet, She longs to be something more.
She wants to be a Rag Doll.
Because Rag Dolls can go anywhere.
They don't break easily.

But She's a China Doll.
Painted to perfection by her parents.
Stuck in a glass case,
Never to be set out.

People pass by,
All they do is look.
She watches the other dolls play.
She wants to play,
But she can't.

"Don't go outside, you'll scratch...

In The Mirror

FREE WRITING

I The Mirror.
What do You see?

A big burly guy?
An all to skinny woman?
Or maybe a boy who desperately
wishes to be a girl.

Do You see a mistake?
A waste of space?
Do You see a broken,
Run-down body?
Covered in shame that
Takes form as scars?

A broken-hearted thing
That no-one could ever love?

Do You wish to change yourself?
Maybe become someone different,
Someone new?

Love, You are Perfect.
In your own way.
A...

This Kid

FREE WRITING

There's this kid in my school.
He doesn't talk much.
But when He does,
He's very nice and polite.

Sometimes I wonder
What He's going through.
If He's just shy or if
He doesn't like to talk.

I wonder what goes on
In His head.
He's constantly staring off
Into space.

Is He fighting a war?
Or maybe He's having tea with
Penguins.

The thing is, this kid,
He's special.
Not in any kind of mental
Or physical way.
But...

December

FREE WRITING

December,
It's cold.
The snow falls,
It's very pretty.
Deer run around leaving
footprints in the snow.
So very wonderous.
Children play outside;
Snowball fights.

I'm inside. however.
Missing You.
Not because of
The children outside
Or the deer's footprints.
Nor the pretty snow.

I'm missing You because it's
Cold.
I'm inside because
No matter
How many blankets I cover
Myself in,
No matter
How many sweaters I put on.

The warmness from my heart
Is gone.
You took...
