PROMPT: Ancestors Speak

In a poor neighborhood in New York city. lived a family of an Irish immigrant, who came across the ocean after the famine in search for a new life in america. He grew, and so did his family, but the american dream was not what it was cracked up to be. They lived in constant fear of their lives, as the Irish were outcasts. Why I fake a smile

FREE WRITING

You wouldn't tell
At least I doubt it
No one has noticed yet,
And it's been more then four years

First, one of my best friends
Second, my great grandpa
Third, almost ten animals I had grown up with
Fourth, my grandfather
All gone, in less then a year
I never cried

I didn't smile for a long time
They threw me in therapy
and guidance
They wanted me to talk
I wanted them to leave me alone
or maybe,...
