Shadows ( not finished )

FREE WRITING

Darkness encircled me, not letting me up.
Peter screamed at me, yelling at me to get up, to fight it, I assume.
    But I can’t.
I can’t fight the darkness that is swallowing me whole, now pressing against my skin, trying to find a way into me.
    “EMMA!” A familiar voice yelled.
    It was my sister.
My head snapped up, staring Teresa through the shadows, “W-what are you doing here, Teresa?!” I shouted.
She smiled at me worriedly, “I couldn’t...

A random thing I wrote

FREE WRITING

Writer’s block is a bad thing because it prevents young writers- such as myself- to not be able to write to their full potential. How do we fix writer’s block, some may ask. Well, I’m sorry, I don’t have an answer to that question, only small ideas. Ideas such as, using what happens in your day to day life as inspiration, looking at other works that relate to your own/what you want to write about. Other than that I guess...

Writer's block sucks doesn't it?

FREE WRITING

So, I was trying to write The Fallen Pt 4 earlier today and I was- and still am -having troubling writing it. Writer's block sucks. I need inspiration! Not just lazy ideas that come from my own lazy brain. HOPEFULLY, my brain will decide to fix itself and give me some more ideas soon.

This is off-topic, but tomorrow in English we're starting Romeo and Juliet! I'm SUPER excited for it. The class that was next...

Speech

FREE WRITING

I feel that I did horrible with my speech today. I mean, I was running my hand through my hair, not looking up enough, slightly shaking, and chuckling to myself at the fact that I told myself that I wouldn't do ANY of that.

Here's a (kinda) first-person edition of what I experienced - with some skips of course.

I sat in my desk, my ID off and my jacket laid over my bookbag. ...

Mean

FREE WRITING

She uses my bed as a shortcut to get to her own, quickly jumping on it and then her own before I can trip her with my feet, taunting me with her laughter after I miss.
    "You missed!"
Do I ever taunt her? No. But she taunts me and has the nerve to call me mean. She has the nerve to say that she's only mean because I am.
If I ever insult her or call her...

The Fallen 2

Mikas gave Kaylee a skeptical look, “Are you sure that's a good idea? The Riders could be lurking around.”
Kaylee looked down at the city, thinking back to the jets of light that had gone up to the heavens and beyond, “Didn’t they all just leave?”
Mikas frowned in thought and then said, “I believe so.”
Kaylee backed away from the cliff’s edge, still facing the city.
“You’re flying down? Didn’t you use up all of your magic?” Mikas said. ...

The Fallen

FREE WRITING

Jets of light shot up from the earth, leaving trails of stardust in its wake. The city below was ravaged, it's glamour ruined and coated in glistening trails of blood, the colors varying from a deep black to a shimmering yellow.
“I honestly think it doesn’t look bad, all of the blood,” Mikas said, looking down at the city. “It gives it a nice glow.”
Kaylee shot a glare at Mikas, her voice cracking, “How can you be so...

(CHAPTER 2)
When I woke up I was on an old couch in a dark room, a fan spinning around above me, and a soft, plaid blanket covering me.
“What happened?” I mumbled to myself.
I pushed myself into an upright position and winced as my blood rushed to my head giving me a migraine.
Light flooded the room as a door opened and I flinched, the light almost making me faint from the pain in my head.
   “You’re...
