Steady words
On a bright screen

I am dreaming

Hiraeth in pieces: Introduction

Hiraeth: A longing for a home to which you cannot return.

I have recently been struggling to find any sort of inspiration, taking dips into historical fiction and fanfiction and various other types of fiction in the hopes it would be of some interest to me. It wasn't. And if it wasn't interesting to me, what possibility did it ever have to be interesting to anyone else?

Crackle, The Lonely Dragon

PROMPT: Writing for Children Competition 2020

 There once was a dragon
Who's head was larger than a wagon
And his fire breathing roar
Could scare off a boar

But this very big beast
With very large teeth

So don't forget me,

when I'm gone

I know your...

If you rule the world
You'd better share
Because
We were born to be together
a happenstance of similar chromosomes
in similar patterns
Our meeting the result
of deliberate decisions

I remember the night that defined
the rest of my life
the beginning of yours
It was dark, my coat...
