I'm a young student who just needs a place to express their writing. I mostly write non-fiction, like persuasive essays and such. My favorite things to write about are controversial topics. I like this because I'm always up for a good conversation.

I do believe. Say it with me.

PROMPT: Word Collage

When the first baby laughed for the first time, its laugh broke into a thousand pieces, and they all went skipping about, and that was the beginning of fairies.

Laughter is the sun that drives winter from the human face.

There's nothing more contagious than the laughter of young children; it doesn't even have to matter what they're laughing about.

I think that people who can't believe in fairies aren't worth knowing.

    Any man...

The Tea Bag

PROMPT: Identity Quilt

First, Maggie put in some green tea leaves for her green eyes. Next, a touch of black tea because everyone knows it's really brown and she was to have brown hair. Her skin would be white as the moon, so in went the powdered sugar. Overhead on the roof, a bird was snapping twigs. The bird especially snapped the twigs to the left side of where Maggie and Eli were making the tea bag. The rocky, popping expressions coming from...

Reality Check

PROMPT: Journey

The most famous, beautiful, fashion-forward girl in the world was heading on an expensive Iceland vacation. She was stunning, from head to toe. Most people make airport clothes boring and simple, but not this girl. She went all out. Everyone knows celebrities these days dress up but dress down at the same time when going to an airport. And this superstar was not short of the most perfect casual yet classy outfit. She could hear the screams already. They were...

My God BFF

FREE WRITING

When the god of occupation

ignores me
once again,

I result to the god of boredom.

As my friend

the god of occupation leaves,

my good friend

the god of boredom visits me.

I see him every day.

At least a few times.

I see him more than I see other people.

He is truly my closest friend.

He is not my friend by choice,

but acts as one.

Sometimes we fight.

Most best friends do.

Sometimes I search for...

This Poem Is a Fidget

FREE WRITING

And they're across.

They jolt up, at the speed

of lightning.

My nerves crash and collide

as they spin and twirl

all over my body.

At least,

that's what I imagine happening.

I suddenly must get up.

or I'll die.

In fact, if I don't stand up

and walk

and move

RIGHT NOW,

I'll drop dead.

Ohhhhhhhh.

My body is aching.

It's begging me for help.

I need to stretch.

I must move now before

it all pours out of...

rose-red fingers

FREE WRITING

Dawn has rose-red fingers.

And Dawn has lovely locks.

I could see her.

I could see the woman Odysseus spoke of.

I could picture Dawn's rosy cheeks and red nose.

I could see her shiny lips and her blonde freckles.

Dawn was a bright figure, which rose up from the sky.

She would appear every new day in Odysseus tale,

and I think maybe

He loved her.

Maybe he loved the call to light.

His little wakeup call.

Dawn has...

A Trillion ($$$) Trees

PROMPT: A Trillion Trees

If there were a trillion trees,

We could use those trees.

We could use those trees to make the thirteen trillion dollars America is in debt.

They'd be gone as soon as they appeared.

I'm not going to lie and say,

"We're saved!"

Rather,

I will tell the truth today.

If a trillion trees were to spring up in the middle of the night,

They'd be gone by morning.

I guarantee.

In this world,

There will never be such a...
