I remember a time when things were simple, straightforward, and easier to understand. Those were the days, when TV shows were morally inspiring, stockings were always filled with candy instead of shattered revelations, and violence was less prevalent in our news. This was a time of motivation, a period of imagination and more thoughtful independence rather than eclectic ease. We as humans are always curious to take on the unknown, and to devise schemes to solve WORLD problems- we as...

Shadows lurk throughout the forsaken fields,
With shrieks of misfortune infecting the land,
Broken trees grow from sated seeds,
Yet her grace fights the unruly hand

Faith born blind from destiny’s fallacy,
And light seems dull on morning’s embrace,
The crows coo at their gaudy legacy,
But she fights with verbosity and haste.

T’was it a dream that shrouded the eyes,
Of the masses who fear her essence?
Or was it the man who uttered in lies,
The truth of...

What lies beyond the broken seams of reality?
But a desolate world of false solitude.
Is it the paradise we wish to reside in?
Or is it the hell we regret to believe in.
Or is it the light that may expel evil,
The evil within the gaps of life.
With Orbs of distress and rays of malice,
Which may breakthrough the wall of injustice
What is this place of unknown intent?

I remember a time when things were simple, straightforward, and easier to understand. Those were the days, when TV shows were morally inspiring, stockings were always filled with candy instead of shattered revelations, and violence was less prevalent in our news. This was a time of motivation, a period of imagination and more thoughtful independence rather than eclectic ease. We as humans are always curious to take on the unknown, and to devise schemes to solve WORLD problems- we as individuals are eccentric, and believe in our perceptions along with our intuition. But where has this innovative ideal gone? It hasn’t quite left our society, but it has through the means of educational standards.
Core standards can help to average the intellect of students, but what of their true motivations? Why have we resulted in direct, and utterly useless teachings in a society of self direction? Why must schools hold the hand of students who are worthy of independence, who...

Shadow's Keep

What lies beyond the broken seams of reality?
But a desolate world of false solitude.
Is it the paradise we wish to reside in?
Or is it the hell we regret to believe in.
Or is it the light that may expel evil,
The evil within the gaps of life.
With Orbs of distress and rays of malice,
Which may breakthrough the wall of injustice
What is this place of unknown intent?
This land for the damned, the heaven for all souls.
It is the Shadow’s keep, the world of anguish,
Present it’s aura disrupts existence.
It is inevitable to one day take refuge in this shattered land,
Of cutthroat inhabitants, and unhallowed graves.
But what can we do to escape this asylum
Many try and many grovel,
But non escape this guarded prison.
For once you fall into it’s sight,
You are forever severed in ties with its might!

The Death of Gaia

Banshee screams, and witless plights all ignite the dying light. To flee or express out grievances are choices we carry, as the sky shatters and the clouds bleed black. What do we see but a dark illusion that whispers rubbish, yet wails for assistance. Loathesome eyes influence our peers, and fate begins to wither away a stifling leer. We seek for help but destiny stops to let go a shriek, what little time we have to act. Blue turns gray, morning turns to dusk, yet we muster attention for attention has stalled. What we seek isn't justice for all but justice for one, one lonely sphere doomed to burden its inevitable end. Destiny seeks light and light seeks a heart, true hearts that believe in an end. A heart that seeks pain, a heart that beats for harmony rather than longevity. A heart that loves in nature, yet supplants an array of life. For life is a delicate balance of...

Passion

The sugary sweet we love to eat,
The stars in the sky at night,
Persistence fuels it’s fiery heat,
Giving the blind a secondary sight.
Intro or Extrovert matters not at all,
We all have this to our name,
It may cycle through like spring or fall,
But it’s presence is always felt the same.
It gives us the strength to go forward,
And the perseverance to go on,
It’s the alcohol that keeps us sober,
To stay up from dusk to dawn.
Darkness cannot penetrate this light,
It is the string that keeps us twirled,
It motivates us to stay in the fight,
To eventually change our world.
