Nostalgia

FREE WRITING

Overall, it is great, and I love the ideas behind it. The pace isn't too fast, but it isn't boringly slow. Perfection!

One Small Mistake

FREE WRITING

One small mistake can end it all,
One small mistake can take everything away,
One small mistake can mean death,
One small mistake can lead to something terrible,
One small mistake can change someone's life.

One small mistake can start it all,
One small mistake can create something new,
One small mistake can bring everything,
One small mistake can change to world,
One small mistake can change someone's life.

One small mistake was made, and
One small mistake changed her...

Deep

FREE WRITING

Breathing in,
the crystal clear air,
the beautiful trees,
and the soft dark earth.

The small forest creatures,
the icy blue flowing brook,
and the fields of wildflowers.

Breathing deep,
inhaling the forest,
the green trees reaching up to the sky
and the soft dappled sunlight.

The leaves slowly drifting to the ground,
and the branches on the ground,
the raindrops filling the shining lakes.

Deep in the forest.

Drowning

FREE WRITING

Swirling downward,
into the darkness.

Never to see the light again.

Air,
life,
freedom,
gone.

Floating to the surface,
only to sink back down again.

Imagining a world of freedom,
and laughing at the thought of it.

Air,
life,
freedom,
gone.

Sinking downward,
staying there.

Giving up on freedom,
and accepting this fate.

Drowning,
in the depths of the ocean,

In the ocean of homework.

Drifting

FREE WRITING

On last breath
of cool, salty air.

Diving under
into the depths
of darkness.

Completely engulfed,
gone from the world of light.
Into the world of color.

Vibrant fish
and mysterious beasts swimming,
salty water filling lungs.

Letting go of the world
and embracing the water.

Drifting
to the sandy
bottom
where all ends...
and begins.

Drifting through
mystery
and dark.

Drifting in and out
of consciousness.

Drifting to the bottom of the ocean.

Drifting away,
forever.

Storms

FREE WRITING

Tears.
Rolling down her cheeks.
Into the ocean of sadness.

Clouds.
Soft, gentle, kind. rolling in.
Trying to comfort her.

Relentless.
Dark, angry storms
not allowing her to forgive.

Love.
Protecting her,
form hatred and fear.

Trust.
Rebuilt, as the storm ends.

Death

FREE WRITING

It only seems hard
until it isn't.

It always is complicated
until it is simple.

It always is tiring
until it is energizing.

Looking back, it is so easy.
But in the moment...

it is death.
