the crescent crepuscular moon at the crescendo of it's path
it hangs in the heavy evening and hazy morning, haunting
it's silvery slopes and swaying secret silence sickens me
like bitter batter skies and butter that breathes
i yell but it just yawns
the taunting tusk that tints the twilight
phoney phantom phases!
morning masks it's mystery maddeningly
it irks me, ink and ice mix
underneath it's ugly urgency, i whisper ugh

We all agree; diversity is important. And guess where it's essential? In the classroom! School, especially high school, is where teenagers shape their views, create their morals, and decide their future. The materials we have, the teachers who we talk to, and the narratives we learn are perhaps the most important things in a history or english classroom, even if we don't realize it at the time. Reading about new perspectives and stories broadens your worldview and makes you an...

PROMPT: Letter Writing Competition 2020

Mars
Quadrant 2
7/9/2037

Dear Gaia,

This will be the first of many letters to you until you are back with me again. You know how I feel about letters. They think I'm strange for writing on paper to communicate, especially because of the distance this flimsy piece of paper will travel to reach you, but I hope we will treasure these together when we are old, and someone (I tell you) in another time, will remember us.
