There are bugs. crawling, wailing, . and the sole comes to grind, them, into powder. when they die, they, leave no mark, except for a spot of grease where. their organs burst out; too full for their body. Perhaps their existence was, a mistake, an expenditure of energy not returned in its kind. 

the universe frowns. 'why; should life be granted
to such squirming beings.'

but I think the bugs are, important, for they show us what life shouldn't be.

are you
    choking?

Dirt fills 
    lungs
, a sickening balloon
filled to the brim with

soil.

    earth filled with worms, contaminated
corrupted by decomposing flesh
That is heavy to bear

    sleep, endless beneath
the ground

is it peaceful?

            when will you also
become the earth?

walking

on a cold, crisp, autumn day.

a tree above my head, with a
corpse
dangling from its limbs.

I stop and stare in wonder at this horrible sight. Who
would hang a body from such a place?

it is rotten to the core,
ribs showing through the corroded
meat.

But the true horror is in its face.
the head, belonging to a different person's 
than its body
like a gruesome pair of mismatched socks.
