To my Precious Boy

FREE WRITING

You are the brightest gem of all
Epitome of all things gorgeous
Taking not a moment to hesitate
Expressing your love to those
Who you are grateful to have in your life

Flying through all things dark
Cutting past those gray, ominous clouds
Your wings struggling with all their crimson might
The evil within you pushing you further back
No one taking your hand to help anymore

My little boy, how you've shone through it all
The darkest times produced...

The Musing Gaze

I'm above the clouds
Over the moon
hidden in plain sight
in the shining white light

Can you guess who I am?
oh yes, you can
Try, if you may
because I'm your own thought flying away

We all believed in stupid rumours
Not knowing what was true
People before us planned on telling in the future
The truth that they knew
But they waited and waited until they died
Leaving their generations behind to decide
Yes, the chicken came first
Because, you know, it can later cross the road
No, that floor thirteenth isn't cursed
It was only simply old.

Her balloons had been her source of income but why she liked doing what she did was receiving the delighted smiles of children. Nothing was compared to it. Not even the bread she won after a whole day's work....

A Hard Year

PROMPT: Flash Fiction Competition 2019

With the little confusion I have cleared, I believe this is an excellent attempt- feelings felt and heart touched.
