Wasteland

PROMPT: 1 Photo, 10 Lines

For a first published piece, you've done well. I especially like the last stanza -- you get a nice image of these hills, bedecked by flocks of rotting sheep. It's emotionally resonant, informing the theme of the piece. Deep, and dark, and mourning. You've got a great grasp of rhythm, and some snazzy images. So, WRITE ON!! :D

Wonderful work! You've managed to weave an interesting story in so few words, something published writer's struggle with. Good job, and keep going!

PROMPT: Environmental Writing Competition September 2018

My one piece of negative feedback is that the repetition in the poem, for example: water water water Pulls me out of the experience when reading the poem. It also seems a little out of place, with it's strict, forced format, which contrasts with the almost organic, growing experience of the rest of the piece. IDK, it's just my opinion.
