Floating, drifting, suspending.
The beginning is lost and the end is untold
as the temperature plunges and the stillness settles in.
Nothing but a barren wasteland extends for miles.
All at once, the silence is cut
with blasting news stories from around the world.
Foreign languages and images of eyes peeking from
above a piece of blue cloth spiral in front of my eyes.
All speak the same truth.
All provoke the same blood-curdling fear.

People are always looking for the future, and how, perhaps, it may look. I, Ressa Reynolds, find the past to be the true interest. Somehow, it just enraptures me in it's bizarre mystery, and unknowings.
Once I grab my clothes and am ready, I sense something, but it's not my microchip. It's an odd feeling, as though the world has shifted ever so slightly.
