Grey concrete stretches out covering the ground, the sky; it's spell broken up only by the occasional garden, the white plaster wall of a classroom or the blue reflective window glass. Meaningless chatter about who likes or hates whom and who's watching what floats in the air. The sticky pre-thunderstorm air sticks my ponytail to the back of my neck and makes me feel trapped inside my dress and heavy black shoes.
