Flowing Ink

United States

I write because I love how words flow to create meaning. I find pleasure in my work and a unique beauty in the written word, and I hope you may find the same.

Message from Writer

I hope my writing stirs something in all of you, be it apathy in my meaningless messages, or wonder at my sculptures of scripture. Interpret my art however you like.

Suffering

PROMPT: Universal Knowledge

It was the language of suffering, a pain and agony known by all in its depth and harshness, a feeling that cannot be compressed or pushed away because of it's comsuming nature.

A Forest

PROMPT: A Trillion Trees

Ivy and ferns sprouting,
Crisp leaves underfoot,
 I stand to listen,
To the trees that rustle from the breeze,
Imparting knowledge into the world's breath,
And carrying songs into the winds.
They stand as guards,
Protectors of the insects and animals,
Providers for the forest,
Poviders of life.
The grooves of thier bark show growth,
Not only of age, but of perception.
Lichen and fungi dot thier trunks.
They stand there, thier silence holding truth,
Holding ages of wisdom forsaken...

Pigeons

FREE WRITING

I live near a concrete jungle,
Or rather, a forgotten part of it,large yet humble,
Almost suburban yet too citified to be,
In an apartment small, high and homely.
The windows all have sills, perfect perches of stone,
That make a pigeon's perfect home.
They croon in a repetative call
Insistant with whatever they speak.
We set out uncooked rice upon the sills they perch,
And watch as they clamor over the food,
Sometimes even daring to fly inside
To...
