Fingertips, metallic, worn and smelling of tobacco  
Make their way down the bridge of my nose,  
Like cigarette smoke – drifting  you come and go. 
  
Faint, hidden, denied, but still there.

Fingertips, metallic, worn and smelling of tobacco 
Make their way down the bridge of my nose, 
Like cigarette smoke, sporadically present as I grow 
 
Faint, hidden, denied, but still there.
