Silence

FREE WRITING

Silence is odd, they tell me.
It's dangerous, they say.
But in silence, there is peace.
There is time to think, and be calm.

There is a door to a world never seen.
A world at peace, which you can fill with thoughts.
Until the silence is broken,
The door remains.

Hiding in the dark until you find it.
And when you finally do,
You enter a state of mind,
That is rare.

Untitled...

FREE WRITING

Hello

FREE WRITING

Hello is a simple word.
Just wave and say hello, and they respond.
But, hello is a word I never use.
For when I say hello,

I don't just let angels in,
I can let demons in too.

Gravel

FREE WRITING

As I walk, I hear the gravel.
Start to run, and kick the gravel.
When I trip, I feel the gravel
And as they laugh, I clutch the gravel.

Why is it that when I mess up,
There is always gravel?

Solo

FREE WRITING

Everyone is silent, except you.
You sing alone, in the crowd.
And they clap, no, roar.
The song's not even over yet.

But they clapped, because they loved your solo.
