i met him on a completely forgettable day
where the world seem to be nothing except 
the passing of people like clocks and time
perhaps there was something there on the day that
everything seemed forgettable

and yet he seemed unforgettable
and he follows me like a shadow
and despite myself i remember the way
that it felt in my heart

i know i am not forgetting something
that i should have remembered
because nothing at all had happened

eyes are the window to another world
and his are not any different
his eyes are the stained glass that hang
in churches, glowing in a multitude of colors
those dark eyes that stare into my soul
it feels as if he knows my every secret,
my every sin
