Streaks of chestnut breathing hues of orange, yellow, and red.
Hundreds of little acorns laying on a soft green bed,
Looking up at the bright blue sky standing overhead.
I went out and looked at how the leaves had changed,
And as the wind blew they swirled around me and were rearranged.
Have you ever smelt the back of a leaf?
Or taken a moment to breathe in the mountains and the hills, even if that moment was brief?

The arrow spins and spins
And for some it never ends.
In the woods there's a path with marked signs,
A path which is known to confine.
But then there is a path left unmarked.
Down one we each embarked.
Most took the planned out path, because it was the path of least resistance,
But I decided I could go the distance.
The first path was quick to conform,
But I've never been one for reform.

Inside of me there’s a need to chase the rapids and to taste the rain
To touch the earth and to wander in the wind.
