This was something that my granddad had always said to me, whilst we watched the bulking cargo ships, concealed by sea mist, navigate the North sea's choppy waves. No you can't throw that bear
away, it's from Hurricane.
Who?
Hurricane - you know,
my Nan, your great-gran?
She wanted you to keep the bear
forever.
I suppose you don't remember.
You were always her favourite,
she crazed for you to visit her,
even in the middle of winter or
when the rain wouldn't stop
for hours, we'd get the pushchair out
and trek to her little bungalow.
