I love writing and music and when the two come together it truly is my favorite. Poetry and song writing go hand in hand and I love to use my ability to read music and understand it to write songs.

Message from Writer

"hold on tight/ this ride is a wild one/ make no mistake/ the day will come when you can't cover up what you've done/ now don't loose your fight kid/ it only takes a little push to pull on through/ with so much left to do/ you'll be missing out, and we'll be missing you" -Alex Gaskarth; Missing You by All Time Low

The World

PROMPT: Poetry and Spoken Word Competition

May the world one day accept all of its differences
Allow it to see injustice and embrace change
Give it the courage to break free of its past chains
But do not hand it its tools

Make the world wade through the mud of realization
Let the world protest the past
Show it the way to equality
But do not give it peace

It will never be satisfied
Nor ever have the patience to get there
May it glimpse...

The power to be,
Outspoken minorities,
A blissful level of ignorance

The power to fight,

FREE WRITING

We were close
Emotionally
Physically
Close

Holding hands under the desk kind of
close
I'll tell you I love you in an abstract way kind of
emotional
Wraped around eachother on the couch kind of
close

But we f***ed it up
big time

Hating my friends kind of big time
Manipulation kind of big time
A never going back big time

And now here I sit replaying the emotions
of this day three years ago
and I think

Maybe it...

I Do Not Know Much About Love

PROMPT: The Unknown

I do not know much about love
From the eyes of another it is so different
A simple gesture
Or an ornate date
Our expressions are so different

Whether a man at night with a woman
or another man
Be it a woman at night with a woman
Sex might not show love
Preferring to be close in emotions

Expressions
Definitions
Examinsations
of love are so differnt

I do not know much about love
for I cannot see it through...

PROMPT: Open Prompt

Love is not a choice
I hate the fact
Can't you see
I'm in love
Your hand in mine
The memories
At 3:00am
Come flooding back to me
I miss you more than ever

PROMPT: “In January”

To put myself first
my mental heath a priority,
Cherish the moments I have with you
these will be the good days,
Embrace who I'd been hiding
and never be ashamed.
