Scared but brave.
“Brave doesn’t mean you’re not scared. It means you go on even though you’re scared,” writes Angie Thomas in her groundbreaking YA novel, The Hate U Give. We love this reflection on courage, and what it means to grow through challenge. For this prompt, dear writers, pen a reflection of 500 words or less about a time when you were scared but brave. What inspired you to power through nervousness? What was waiting on the other side? What do you care so deeply about that you will not allow doubt or fear to influence your path? What does bravery mean, or look like, to you?
We look forward to reading your reflections.
