The Daisy Bush

June 11, 2020

A small bush of daisies blooms, in the corner of our garden. It is only about a foot long on the longest side, with flowers the size of Australian fifty cent coins. The flowers are such a vibrant pink, it is hard not to be happy when you are around them. Yellowed dead leaves fall of the peach tree, they die now, but it is just a reminder that peach blossoms will come soon, in the spring. When golden light falls upon us, like honey, melting into water, the days are crisp and clear. Soon winter will be over and the joyous blossoms and bird-calls of spring will be free again.
