PROMPT: Don’t Forget  | GROUP: In This Together

I. touch,
/tʌtʃ/
come into or be in contact with.

A brush of a should from a stranger, the hand of someone hand as you take your coffee.
Touch is a little thing. It might not be something like climate change or protesting but I can't remember the last time I could hug someone without the fear of their breathe lingering so close to my lungs.
A mother soothing her child, the brush of your mother's hand. The warmth of...

PROMPT: The Unseen  | GROUP: In This Together

Love is like the wind.
You cannot see it,
only its effects.
The wind moves the leaves.
Love moves hearts.
The wind chills the air.
Love warms the soul.
The wind changes the wheather.
Love changes lives.
The wind has great power.
Love has even more.
And love never fails.

Hate.

PROMPT: The Unseen  | GROUP: In This Together

Hate
shriveled up in corners
thick in the air
always there

I can sit for hours watching people go by
looking at their expressions
some are pure while others are corrupt
filled with hate, messed up

Hate is not an object
it will never be a form
but something in their eyes
hidden underneath lies

PROMPT: This I Believe  | GROUP: In This Together

When you grow up being told what to believe, you don't have a choice, you believe it. Don't dismiss this. When everyone you know loves something, praises it, talks about it, teaches it, presents it as a solid fact; you are going to believe it.

Then it becomes your identity. Your community. Your very purpose for living.

It's in your thoughts, dreams, goals, relationships. Everything that encompasses your life. It is present and active in every passing day and every...

Me.

PROMPT: The Unseen  | GROUP: In This Together

We’ve never really seen ourselves.
Just reflections and photographs.
Sometimes it frightens me to think that I’ll never know how anyone ever truly sees me.
And is it wrong to ask that of someone?
To see me?
How can I expect others to see something in me I’ve never seen in myself?

What if it’s something I don’t want to see?

Then what?

Can Anybody See Me?

PROMPT: The Unseen  | GROUP: In This Together

Will it take an aeon of my bottom at rest
for an equivocal preceding of my mind's eye?
Like Poe and Shakespeare's very best,
will they also reminisce the worth of I?

An obverse of this currency's tail;
the sight of an intellect.
His works prevail, bethink by all.
A travail it is as I carve mine to the wall.

A meritorious fruit, is this

for the hungry minds can this be a satisfactory? ...

Wind, It Blows

PROMPT: The Unseen  | GROUP: In This Together

It blows and sways the trees,
It keeps us on our feet,
Through the evening air,
Past the midnight glare.

Through the summer breeze,
Oh, though it makes me sneeze,
I do enjoy,
The calm, swift happy boy.

During the winter day, it sends a chill,
But even I know, what fun to roll downhill.

It blows and blows once more,
Never ceasing to creep up the moors,
Through the shallow,
To the sea below,
The wind shall always blow...
