Message from Writer

The Critic here, coming at you with only the truth and nothing but the truth. You want a review, you follow me - if you follow me, you are opening yourself up to only what's true, honest and real. I do not put up with up writers who think they can do nothing wrong or writers who are rude. My reviews are harsh but fair, detailed but beneficial, and blunt but elevating.

Writers beware.

The Critic's Review System

Hi,
So as you know, I am The Critic. Here only to help mature the talents of all the young writers on this site. On this account, I will only focus on writing views, not narratives and/or poems. I’ve been on this site long enough to see that reviews aren’t as concentrated on as they should be. So to help fix this problem, I have created four themes that I will rotating between throughout my time here to aid those to get the writing support and reviews they want.
Though, as harsh as I am with my analyses, my reviews are a safe space for all writers. No antagonism or prejudice acts will be made or accepted to anyone’s character, belief, religion, race, personal life, mental health, or sexuality/gender/identity by me. I do not condone such behaviour and will not shy away from flagging/confronting those who do. You are warned.

Random Reviews:
A monthly event where I randomly go through all those who follow me and choose which writer’s work I would like most to review. So each day of that month, a writer will be chosen and informed viva the comments of their most recent post.

Writer’s Workshop:
A contest that isn’t a contest at all. Through this theme, writers will get the opportunity to acquire and reinforce skills in different writing formats, techniques, themes, genres, and wordplay. Each writer who enters will be rewarded with a short, yet bluntly detailed review. Time spend will differ depending on the workshop’s theme, but should be a 30-day long affair.

Requests:
This should be obvious but I’ll explain anyway. Requests are also a monthly occasion where I am giving you, the writer, a chance to comment me the pieces you want most to be critiqued on.

Writing Tips:
Just a post or two giving key and helpful advice once in a blue moon for the whole WtW community to see and reflect on or debate on.

Note:
Not all four events will happen at the same time (not including Writing Tips). One month = one event.

From one writer to another,
The Critic
I might add more 'themes' or 'event' as time goes on. Any questions or opinions (both good or bad), comment below.

P.s. Remember my rules. Truth only. No bullshit.

I like the way you roll, Critic. That's kinda the rule I try to live by when someone asks me my opinion for something: Truth only, no bullshit. Can't wait!

Looking forward to this. :) I’m well aware that my writing usually needs work but I never get around to fixing it.

Straight up, I'm mildly intimidated. But I'm also excited, I love harsh, unfiltered feedback and it's not easy to find. Have a great day, and thank you

Ok. Thank you for clarifying, R.j.!

@Christy Wisdom antagonism meaning to actively hate and/or cause conflict. So basically don't do something just out of hate for that person.

Oh, by the way, I was wondering what you mean by antagonism. Would that include friendly debates, or no?
