I held a little candle flame
Trying to tame
The iniquitous land
With just my tiny hand

I held a little candle flame
While playing a little game
Where I hid from my demon
In a world without a sun

I held a little candle flame
When I helped the old dame
Who said she was the monarch
Of the world that lies in the dark

I held a little candle flame
When I lay on a lonely kame
Where I contemplated life
And decided to end it with a knife

I once held a little candle flame
When I roamed without a name
I was a lost faun
But now it's all gone

I'm starting the prizes for the first place winners! Which genre do you like so that I can make you a short story or poem?
