A day to celebrate dandelions. In Lión, we worship dandelions. March 7th is Dandelion Day. It first came about when Lolandia the First tasted tea made out of dandelions, by an old lady by the name of Gomara. Lolandia loved it so much, she made Gomara young with her minister's magic, and made her the heir to the throne. When Lolandia died, Gomara took the kingdom. She was the greatest queen to have ever lived, they say. My mother's name is Gomara. My sister's name is Apheca, which dandelion in Latin. Dandelion tea is the national beverage, dandelion the national flower, the lion the national animal, just because the word 'dandelion' has the word 'lion' in it.
To me, it seems absurd. Crazy. Lunatic, even. We are worshipping... a flower. A flower that can be scattered with a soft breath. What's even worse, though, is that we are the royal family.
Which means I am to be queen.
In one week.
At my coronation.
At 18 years old.
When by mother takes a drink of old dandelion tea, and I take one that was made that day.
EVEN THEN!
Even at a coronation, these stupid dandelions are there.
Who the hell wants to be the queen of dandelions?
Not me!
