something flying
something free
perfect endings
call to me

dance into the fire
dip into the light
taste the ash in the air
what a brilliant plight

crimson stains
dripping tears
a silver dagger
forged with fears

dragged into the deep
quick to sink
swirling waters
drowned in a blink

tainted fame
death comes in many forms
a rose by any name
has bloody thorns

Darkly beautiful. I especially love that last stanza.
