That's a pangolin, in case you were wondering. :) I really love stories and I need them to survive, bring me your stories and I'll bring you mine. I guess you could say what I'm looking for is a friend, even if that friend is fictional. Thanks!

Aluminium Foil

December 13, 2018

A thousand tiny pores
and a thousand mountainscapes of wrinkles,
This skin is unlike that of anyone living.
Created to seal the average meal
in a holographic futuristic coating,
Who would've looked to the minerals of Earth
to find the beauty of the heavens
wrapping a day-old ham sandwich.
Only humanity could create something this vain.
I've been foiled again.
Tupperware? More like tupperwhere is the rest of this joke?

I love this because of the truth that’s in this example of humans. We sure are a weird species

This made me laugh. It's so well-written, and the contrast between "the beauty of the heavens" and "a day-old ham sandwich" is GREAT. Also the imagery in general. (And the footnotes. Also great.) Good job!

I love this poem, especially the last line. It gives a sense of blame and disdain which I really appreciate because it makes the reader think the next time they use some aluminium foil. As for your footnotes (and your message to readers), they made me crack a smile so I thank you for that. :)
