Five Endings

November 17, 2018

PROMPT: Five Endings

1. I could taste the rust of blood in my mouth as I turned around and walked away.

2. Alas, all the world watched as she died.

3. She looked at me as her legs were dangling from the precipice and said "don't let go", looking into her golden eyes, I knew I never would.

4. Looking up at the stars she knew her father was looking back.

5. Goodbyes were not my favorite thing, but watching her go I knew it was not forever.

I really like these. Each one holds immense meaning. I feel like these should've been the beautiful endings to some great stories, especially #2. Gee, I wish I could've written that ;)

    Awesome job. Keep writing!

(BTW, Paperbird's so right. These are a welcome exception.)

Tbh, most things I've seen under this prompt are kind of meh, but these are seriously good. I particularly like #2.
