I can wait a little more

8
sunlight filtering in through glass and leaves
last of the day's light saying goodbye
first stars beginning to shine
what I was hoping for didn't come today
but I've waited for so long
I can wait a little more

the weeks, they blur
I wait, and wait, and wait
patience is given to me, I don't know why
I go outside and sit there everyday
but I've waited for so long
I can wait a little more

I long to see it
a man, dressed in a black suit, carrying a briefcase
in my mind, I see him in the rain, coming home
he promised, and he keeps his promises
but I've waited for so long
I can wait a little more

the weeks blur into years
decades lost to dreams
but I consider them used well
as my last breath escapes me
I know I'll see him again
I've waited for so long
I can wait just a little more

I love it! I just wrote a detailed review of this piece. It should come to you in a few days.

@Silver, most people write it like this (assume I'm writing Star Wars fic): I do not own Lucasfilm, Disney, or am in any way connected to the making of the Star Wars and all related films. I do not intend to make any money off of this work and do not pretend to own the characters and setting.
All you really have to do is make sure that you get the whole 'I don't own this stuff' message across and that you're not trying to make any money

Uncomplaining fidelity. Quick question, is there acertain way you have to write a disclaimer, or can you word it however you want wherever you want? Thanks so much!
