Three Forms of Abuse

Disliked 
As if gristle
Lodged in pork,
Surrounded by pig yet still being
Leftover,
    Unwanted.

Traumatized
Stands a swollen tree,
A work of nature's art,
Crafted by a bolt
Driven and embedded 
    Deeper
        Further
Wounding the sapling's wooden heart
To create a strong beauty
From juvenile sorrows.

Exploited
Like any kitchen table,
The back of every household,
Used repeatedly
Every expanse of it
Piled with plates,
Taken as granted,
Forsaken once unneeded of its servitude.
